The task

An organisation campaigning for the right to repair appliances needed a home for regular publishing that it would run itself, without a developer.

Design decisions

Six topic categories with icons instead of a single blog.
A custom WordPress theme, so articles keep a consistent look without manual formatting.
Reading time and dates on articles, because it is a news site, not a business card.
